Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Make sure that you have read the Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement and that all authors´ responsibilities are met.

The following instructions serve to provide advice, guidance and direction to scholars wishing to submit a manuscript for peer review.

  1. All Manuscripts must be submitted in English language.
  2. Manuscripts are to be submitted electronically in MS Word file using 12pt Times Roman standard font for general text. Major headings should be concise and are to be bolded using size 14 font. Sub headings are to be concise and bolded using 12 pt. italicised font. Paper copies will not be accepted for review.
  3. Submissions should not exceed 6000 words which includes the total manuscript.
  4. The structure and format for publication will follow APA (6th edition) style.
  5. The structure of the Manuscript will need to be presented using the following order: Author names and affiliations (separate sheet); title page (separate sheet); abstract; keywords; main text; references; biographical commentary on each contributing author, appendices (as appropriate); table(s) with caption(s) (on individual pages); figure with captions. If acknowledgements need to be made they must be placed immediately after the reference list.
  6. Abstracts should be of no more than 200 words and are right and left justified (2cm margins). All manuscripts must have an abstract.
  7. The keywords should not exceed six in number and follow immediately after the Abstract.
  8. The Main Text and References should follow the format outlined in points three and four above. In the Main text each paragraph should start with a 0.50cm indent.
  9. Figures must be saved separate to text. Please do not insert figures in the manuscript file.
  10. All figures must be numbered in the order in which they appear in the manuscript.
  11. When submitting a manuscript for peer review, all authors who have a reasonable claim to authorship should be named in full on a separate page immediately before the title page. Author affiliations, email and postal addresses should also be included along with a contact telephone number.
  12. The first author will be the Journal’s contact person.
  13. A short (max of 5 lines) biographical commentary on each contributing author is necessary and this is to be placed immediately following the Reference list in the manuscript.
  14. Given that Diagoras is an on-line Journal there is no submission or publication fee.
